How to Make a Morse Code Bracelet with Hidden Message (Step-by-Step Guide)
Share
Morse Code bracelets are a beautiful way to communicate your messages in secret. Using simple beads to represent dots and dashes, you can create personalised bracelets with names, dates, or secret words.
In this beginner-friendly guide, you'll learn exactly how to make your own Morse Code bracelet step by step.
Step 1 – Find Your Word in Morse Code
First, choose the word or message you would like to create. Then find the Morse Code translation for each letter and write it down on paper. For example, if you want to make a bracelet with the message: LOVE GOLDIE
You can search for the Morse Code for each letter and write the dots and dashes clearly on paper before starting.
This step helps avoid mistakes when threading your beads.

Next, start threading beads onto your jewellery wire according to your Morse Code pattern.
In our example, we use high-quality Miyuki beads and strong Beadalon wire.
Our colour system:
- Gold beads = dots
- Three coloured beads = dashes
Thread the beads carefully in the correct Morse Code order using the chosen colours.

Step 3 – Measure the Bracelet Length
After completing the Morse Code section, measure the bracelet length.
For example, our wrist size range:
16 cm – 20 cm
We plan to use:
6 cm extension chain
So the bead section will be approximately:
12 cm long
To adjust the length, add extra beads on both sides of the Morse Code section.
You can:
- Use beads of the same colour
OR - Use different beads to make the Morse Code section stand out more clearly.
Using contrasting beads can make the Morse Code message easier to see.
Step 4 – Add Findings and Finish the Bracelet
Finally, assemble the bracelet components.
Add the following:
- Crimp beads
- Knot covers
- Extension chain
- Clasp
Secure the crimp beads firmly and attach the extension chain and clasp.
Once everything is connected, your Morse Code bracelet is complete!
